The Future

What other mediums would you like to attempt?

Sculpture. A lot of my figurative paintings start out as preliminary models that I render in polymer clay. These are relatively small pieces and while I enjoy working with this medium, I still see these as mock-ups. I’d really like to work on a much larger scale with a preference for cast metals like bronze and copper. I’d also like to design more high-end jewelry pieces when time affords it.

What about Galleries?

I don’t work with galleries for a number of reasons. One in particular is that the buyer is often times paying quite a lot for something they aren’t getting…the relationship and the real story behind the work. Galleries by their very nature tend to encourage trepidation and rushed observation. That’s not how  I want my work to be seen. What I would be interested in is a partnership with the right person who can help manage the business and even the promotional end of things and free me up to continue doing what I do best.

Where would you like to see your art next?

First, let me say that I don’t create art for the purpose of public recognition. I try to create art that appeals to me and my tastes first and foremost. But I do enjoy sharing my vision with others and when someone takes the time to appreciate what I’ve done, that feels pretty good. I've found that most people don't spend enough time looking to even begin to see what's really there. I want to reward those who make this investment with something extraordinary.
